In November of 2008, a large fire swept through and destroyed a mobile home park in Sylmar, California. In December, I found a nearby location, set up a small studio, offered my services as a gift to those who had been affected, and provided them with prints in time for the holidays. Even just a few weeks after the event, the neighborhood was already scattered. Every person pictured here, save one, lost their homes and nearly all of their belongings. 489 homes and ten commercial buildings were destroyed.
